Yemen: A War on Civilians?
MSF's former Head of Mission in Yemen will give a talk about his experiences there on 23rd July at the Royal Irish Academy.
A brutal war is taking its toll on the people of Yemen- where thousands have been injured or killed since March of this year. Relentless airstrikes and shelling have destroyed residential areas; market places and hospitals have also been hit.
MSF has treated more than 4,000 war-wounded and brought in over 105 tonnes of emergency medical aid to the country; but more needs to be done.
André Heller Perache, MSF’s former Head of Mission in Yemen, will describe his recent experience leading MSF’s emergency response to this under-reported but brutal conflict.
This is a free event but seats are limited and must be reserved in advance by contacting Lucy Kelly at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 01-6603337 by July 20th.
