The Pyg Restaurant
Launched in December 2011, the PYG Restaurant Dublin boasts a multi-cultural array of affordable dishes in the elegant surroundings of the Powerscourt Townhouse. Renowned for its boutiques and galleries, the shopping centre was originally purchased as a Townhouse for Lord Powerscourt in 1774 for entertaining purposes. The Pop Up is therefore bringing the Townhouse back to its roots – as a top venue for parties.
By day the Pyg Restaurant becomes Pyg Café and serves up some tasty breakfasts, lunches, coffees and cakes. It is an ideal spot for a quick lunch or for lounging in the sofa area with a coffee and friends. The food is very reasonably priced for Dublin City and the full menu can be seen below. Some people even say does Pyg Cafe does the best lunch in Dublin but we’ll let you decide.
Pyg Café don’t take bookings and if you’re coming on a weekend time be prepared to have to queue a little bit as the Café is full all day Saturday and Sunday – rest assured your wait will be worth it though.
